1. Group tuition Courses

Some of our tutors offer group tuition. These will be in very small groups and will either take place in person or online. You are welcome to try a session for free before signing up for a course.

Course Payment

The group tuition comes as a course, which lasts for half an academic term. The length of this will vary depending on the school term dates. After your trial, you can then sign up for the course.

KS2 £21 per session

KS3 £23.50 per session

KS4 £26 per session

The course can be paid for in one or two instalments. The instalments must be paid before the tuition commences.

Late payment fees

Most payments will be taken upfront online. However, in the event of a late payment, there will be a £10 charge for every 2 weeks. For example, if the payment is 6 weeks late, there will be a £30 charge.

Skipping or rearranging sessions

As these are sold as a course, it is not possible to skip, rearrange or refund sessions. If a session is forgotten or started late by the pupil, the tutor cannot make up the missed time. It is the responsibility of the parent and not the tutor to ensure that the pupil makes their session.

Tutor illness

If for some reason the tutor is unable to make a session due to illness or other unforeseeable circumstances, the tutor will make up the session at a suitable time or the session will be refunded or taken off your next invoice.

Tuition stopped by tutor

If in the unlikely case, a tutor has to stop tuition mid-block, JoytasticKids will replace the tutor as soon as possible, subject to availability, in order to minimise disruption to the student’s progress. Failing that, you will receive a full refund for the rest of the block.

Tutor Feedback and Correspondence

When you sign up for one to one tuition, you will be emailed your own OneDrive link. This should have all of the information you need to know. The tutor will provide weekly feedback from the sessions, which will be saved in your OneDrive. Your tutor will also provide targets and an end of course statement. With regards to group tuition, your tutor will provide feedback and next steps via email at the end of the course. Due to safeguarding, it is not possible for the tutor to communicate via the pupil’s mobile (if under 18).

2. 1:1 Face to Face Tuition

Payment

We offer a free 15 minute online trial session before you commit. If you would rather a face to face trial, you are welcome to pay for a one off session. After that, the tuition is paid for in blocks of 3,6 or 7 via our payment system. Most of our clients prefer to pay for the tuition in half-termly blocks. You can then correspond with the tutor to organise the times and dates for the sessions. It works best when you have a regular day and time for your session. Charges vary depending on pupil age.
